A breakfast view with an introduction to Lee Bul’s work from Ikon Director Jonathan Watkins.
The installation on view at Korean Cultural Centre showcases the work that has established Lee Bul as an important artist of her generation. Born in 1964, under the military dictatorship of South Korea, Lee Bul has had solo exhibitions at Mudam Luxembourg, Artsonje Center, Mori Art Museum, Fondation Cartier and New Museum amongst other institutions. Lee Bul’s first UK museum show is at Ikon in Birmingham 10 September – 9 November 2014. The artist is represented by Lehmann Maupin, Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac and PMK Gallery.
