동명의 책에서 얻은 아이디어로부터 출발한 본 전시는 미래에 대한 우리의 인식을 설명하면서도 복잡하게 하며, 과거에서 미래로 흐르는 관점과 불확실지만 희망적인 현재의 관점 모두를 제시합니다.
이번 전시에서 백현진은 <Paper Business>와 퍼포먼스 <그것이 다 사라질 때까지>를 선보이며 여러 매체를 유연히 넘나드는 모습으로 과거와 미래, 그리고 현재를 바라보는 전시의 주제와 섞여듭니다. 전시는 3월 31일까지.
Bek Hyunjin, who has been actively performing across various fields of art such as installation artist, actor and performance artist, presents his work Paper Business for an exhibition Chronicles of the Future Superheroes. Second Edition at the MNAC Bucharest.
This exhibition, derived from a book that has the same title, seeks to explain, but also to complicate our perception about the future, offering two distinctive ways of interpreting the subject – one that flows from the past to the future and one that is anchored in a present of hopes and uncertainties.
In the exhibition, Bek Hyunjin presents Paper Business along with the performance Until It All Disappears across various medias and merges into the subject which suggests a perspective for the past, the future and the present. Chronicles of the Future Superheroes. Second Edition runs until March 31.
