지난 20년간의 소장품과 아카이브를 통해 한국 현대미술의 흐름과 앞으로의 가능성을 탐구하는 특별전 《돌아온 미래: 형태와 생각의 발현》이 국립현대미술관 청주관에서 진행 중입니다. 이번 전시에는 구정아, 윤형근, 조덕현 작품이 출품되었습니다. 전시는 내년 7월 31일까지.
⊹ 구정아, 〈NEGAMO CURVE 5〉 (2022)
구정아 작품은 금속 와이어와 패널 위로 휘어진 곡선이 단순하면서도 독특한 긴장을 만들어냅니다. 작가는 낯선 오브제를 통해 ‘내일’을 시각화하며, 보는 이로 하여금 단단하면서도 가벼운 미래의 형상을 상상하게 합니다.
⊹ 윤형근, 〈Untitled 95-75〉 (1995)
작은 화면 안에 담긴 푸른 듯 검고, 깊은 듯 투명한 그의 색은, 오래된 숨결처럼 묵직하게 가라앉으며 화면 밖까지 번져 나갑니다. 작가는 최소한의 언어로, 가장 근원적인 질문인‘존재한다는 것의 무게’를 던집니다.
⊹ 조덕현, 〈문희 오마주 1〉 (2018)
연필, 아크릴, 망사, 호분까지 뒤섞인 화면 속 인물은 마치 기억의 필름처럼 선명하면서도 희미합니다. 조덕현의 작업은 한 사람의 초상이자, 그를 둘러싼 시간과 사회의 초상입니다.

⊹ Koo Jeong A, 𝘕𝘌𝘎𝘈𝘔𝘖 𝘊𝘜𝘙𝘝𝘌 𝟧 (2022)
A curved form of metal wire and panel creates a simple yet distinctive tension. Through unfamiliar objects, the artist visualizes “tomorrow,” inviting viewers to imagine a future that is both solid and light.
⊹ Yun Hyong-keun, 𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝟫𝟧-𝟩𝟧 (1995)
Within a small canvas, layered hues of deep blue and black settle heavily, like an old breath spreading beyond the surface. With minimal means, the artist poses the fundamental question: the weight of existence.
⊹ Cho Duk Hyun, 𝘔𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘩𝘦𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝟣 (2018)
A figure rendered in pencil, acrylic, mesh, and chalk white appears vivid yet blurred, like a fragment of memory. The work reflects not only an individual’s portrait but also the time and society surrounding them.
