올라퍼 엘리아슨의 ‹Conscious Lava Compass› (2018)는 거울과 용암석, 나침반을 결합한 작업으로, 인간이 축적해온 문명과 기술이 자연 앞에서 얼마나 미약한 존재인지를 단순하면서도 묵직하게 드러냅니다. 자연과 인간의 관계에 대해 꾸준히 질문을 던지는 그의 작품관을 엿볼 수 있습니다.
토비 지글러의 ‹come to my arms› (2019)는 고전 회화 위에 즉흥적인 붓터치를 더해 원본의 맥락을 해체하는 동시에 새로운 회화적 언어를 만들어내며, 관람객에게 또 다른 시선을 제공합니다.
컬렉터 그룹 ‘아르케 II (ARCHE II)’ 의 컬렉션을 담은 본 그룹전은 이번 주 일요일인 4월 26일까지 진행됩니다.
A group exhibition, 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘥, is currently on view at HEREDIUM, a multidisciplinary cultural space in Daejeon, featuring 22 artists including Olafur Eliasson and Toby Ziegler.
Olafur Eliasson’s 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘤𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴 𝘓𝘢𝘷𝘢 𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘴𝘴 (2018), composed of mirrors, lava stone, and a compass, succinctly yet profoundly reflects on the fragility of human civilization and technology in the face of nature. The work offers a glimpse into the artist’s ongoing inquiry into the relationship between nature and humanity.
In 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘴 (2019), Toby Ziegler overlays spontaneous brushstrokes onto classical paintings, deconstructing their original contexts while generating a new painterly language and inviting alternative ways of seeing.
Drawn from the collection of the collector group ARCHE II, the exhibition runs through Sunday, April 26.
