싱가포르 탄종 파가르 디스트리파크에 새롭게 문을 연 파디마이 아트 & 테크 스튜디오는 올라퍼 엘리아슨의 가상현실 작품 〈Your view matter〉(2022/2025)을 개관 전시로 선보입니다. 블록체인 기술자이자 컬렉터인 선데이선(Vignesh Sundaresan)이 기획 및 커미션한 이번 전시는 여섯 개의 기하학적 구조로 이루어진 가상 공간 속에서 관람자의 움직임에 반응하는 모아레 패턴과 작가가 제작한 미니멀 사운드가 결합되어, 지각이 생성되는 과정을 직접 체험하실 수 있도록 구성되었습니다. 또한 각 관람자의 이동 경로는 선데어선이 구축한 블록체인 기반 아카이브에 기록되어, 기술을 통한 예술 경험의 보존·공유·재구성이라는 스튜디오의 핵심 비전을 구현합니다. 파디마이 아트&테크 스튜디오는 이번 프로젝트를 통해 예술·테크놀로지·사회적 실천이 교차하는 실험적 플랫폼으로서의 역할을 확장해 나가고 있습니다. 전시는 내년 3월 31일까지.
On view at Padimai Art & Tech Studio: Olafur Eliasson, 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳
Padimai Art & Tech Studio, newly opened at Tanjong Pagar Distripark in Singapore, presents Olafur Eliasson’s virtual-reality artwork 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 (2022/2025) as its inaugural exhibition. Commissioned and initiated by blockchain technologist and collector Vignesh Sundaresan, the project invites visitors to move through six geometric virtual environments where animated moiré patterns and a minimalist soundscape by the artist respond to each participant’s movements, foregrounding perception as an active, embodied experience. Each visitor’s trajectory is recorded within a blockchain-based archive developed by Sundaresan, reflecting the studio’s vision for preserving, sharing, and re-experiencing artistic encounters through decentralised technological infrastructures. With this exhibition, Padimai Art & Tech Studio advances its mission as an experimental platform at the intersection of art, technology, and social practice.
