📍플랫폼엘, «하루키를 말할 때 우리가 하고 싶은 이야기»
개관 10주년을 맞이한 플랫폼엘에서 세계적인 문학가 무라카미 하루키(b.1949)를 조명하는 대규모 기획전이 진행 중입니다. 하루키의 삶과 문학적 세계관을 다루는 이번 전시에서 이원우는 한국 동시대 미술을 대표하는 작가 중 한 명으로 참여하며, 하루키의 작품 세계와 맞닿은 다섯 점의 작품을 선보입니다. 문학과 현대미술이라는 서로 다른 장르에 담긴 ‘평범한 일상을 새롭게 환기한다’는 메시지는 각자의 경계를 넘어 이어지고 확장됩니다. 전시는 8월 2일까지.
Wonwoo Lee (b.1981) works across performance, sculpture, painting, photography, video, and text. Across Seoul, exhibitions featuring the artist are currently on view. Twisting familiar elements of everyday life through his signature wit and humor, Lee’s works renew our awareness of the ordinary, creating new sensations and relationships within different exhibition contexts and spaces.

A large-scale exhibition dedicated to world-renowned author Haruki Murakami (b.1949) is currently on view at Platform-L, marking the institution’s 10th anniversary. Centered on Murakam i’s life and literary universe, the exhibition brings together works by contemporary Korean artists, including Wonwoo Lee, who participates as one of the representative figures of Korean contemporary art with five works that engage with Murakami’s world within the exhibition’s broader context. Across literature and contemporary art, Murakami and Lee each unfold a shared theme of renewing awareness of everyday life through their respective languages. On view through August 2.
