오는 9월 9일과 10일 양일간, 이원우의 인터랙티브 퍼포먼스인 ‹Lost & Found›가 뉴욕 Space ZeroOne에서 진행됩니다. 이번 퍼포먼스는 작가나 작품이 아닌, 관객의 이야기에서부터 시작합니다. ‘무엇을 잃어버렸고, 다시 찾고 싶은가?’라는 질문에 답을 남기면, 작가는 이를 바탕으로 관객과 대화를 나눈 뒤 작은 조각을 만듭니다. 퍼포먼스가 진행되는 동안 작품은 점점 작아지고, 관객은 잃어버린 것과 닮은 혹은 전혀 다른 조각을 갖게 됩니다.
2017년 아트선재센터에서 처음 선보인 ‹Lost & Found›는 이후 다양한 형태로 이어져 왔으며, 이번에는 2026년 Art Omi 레지던시에서 제작한 ‹Sunrise Sunset›의 두 번째 버전이 활용됩니다. 뉴욕에서의 퍼포먼스는 Space ZeroOne의 새로운 퍼블릭 프로그램 시리즈인 ZeroOne Sessions의 첫 번째 프로그램으로 기획되었습니다.
Wonwoo Lee’s interactive performance 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘵 & 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 will take place at Space ZeroOne in New York on September 9 and 10. The performance begins not with the artist or the artwork, but with the stories of its visitors. In response to the question, “What have you lost and want to find again?”, visitors share their stories with Lee. He then speaks with them about what they have lost and creates a small sculpture in response. As the performance unfolds, the artwork gradually becomes smaller, while each visitor leaves with a sculpture that may resemble what they had lost—or may be entirely different.
First presented at Art Sonje Center in 2017, 𝘓𝘰𝘴𝘵 & 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 has since taken on different forms. For this iteration, a second version of 𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘚𝘶𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘵, created during Lee’s 2026 residency at Art Omi, will be used. The New York performance has been conceived as the inaugural program of ZeroOne Sessions, a new public program series at Space ZeroOne.
