신세계백화점 본점에 위치한 더 헤리티지 뮤지엄에서 강이연의 개인전 《ENTANGLEMENT》가 진행 중입니다. 이번 전시는 인간과 기술, 생명과 비생명, 실재와 가상 등 이분법적 사고를 해체하고, 이질적인 존재들이 어떻게 얽혀 새로운 공동체를 형성해가는지를 탐구합니다. 전시 공간에는 물리적으로 움직이는 두 개의 대형 스크린이 마주 보며 설치되어 있으며, 관객은 이 스크린 사이를 자유롭게 오가며 영상 속 이미지의 분절, 교차, 중첩 과정을 공감각적으로 체험하게 됩니다.
실내 전시와 연계되어, 신세계백화점 본점 외벽의 초대형 미디어 파사드 ‘신세계스퀘어’에서는 《ENTANGLEMENT》의 마지막 파트인 ‘얽힘’을 기반으로 한 약 1분 분량의 영상이 매일 70회 이상 상영됩니다. 명동이라는 도시적 스케일에 맞춰 재구성된 이 미디어 작업은 예술과 기술의 융합, 그리고 도시 공간에서의 공공 예술 실현 가능성을 제시하며 새로운 감각의 층위를 관객에게 전달합니다. 전시는 9월 5일까지.
The solo exhibition 𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘈𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘌𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛 by Yiyun Kang is currently on view at The Heritage Museum, located in the main branch of Shinsegae Department Store in Seoul. This exhibition dismantles binary notions such as human and machine, organic and synthetic, real and virtual, and explores how disparate entities become entangled to form new forms of community. At the center of the exhibition are two large-scale kinetic screens facing each other. Visitors are invited to move freely between them, experiencing the segmentation, intersection, and layering of visual elements through an immersive sensory encounter.
In conjunction with the indoor presentation, a 1-minute video derived from the exhibition’s final chapter, 𝘌𝘕𝘛𝘈𝘕𝘎𝘓𝘌𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛, is screened over 70 times daily on Shinsegae Square—the department store’s massive media façade. Adapted to the urban scale of Myeongdong, the work presents new sensory dimensions of art and technology, while offering a compelling vision of public art integrated into the cityscape. The exhibition runs through September 5.
