RM(김남준)의 개인 소장품을 처음으로 미술관에서 선보이는 전시가 샌프란시스코 현대미술관(SFMOMA)에서 개막합니다. 한국 근현대 미술을 중심으로 RM이 수집해 온 약 150점의 작품과 SFMOMA의 소장품을 함께 선보이는 자리로, 윤형근, 유영국, 권진규, 이원우의 작품이 RM의 개인 소장품으로 소개됩니다. ‘작지만 단단한 다리가 되길’이란 그의 바람대로, 이번 전시는 한국 미술의 흐름을 폭넓게 조망하며 서로 다른 작가와 생각, 문화 사이의 연결을 보여줍니다.
RM (Kim Namjoon)’s personal collection is being presented in a museum for the first time at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). Bringing together approximately 150 works collected by RM with a focus on modern and contemporary Korean art and works from the SFMOMA collection, the exhibition features works by Yun Hyong-keun, Yoo Youngkuk, Kwon Jin kyu, and Wonwoo Lee from RM’s personal collection. In keeping with RM’s hope that it can be “a small but sturdy bridge for many,” the exhibition offers a broad view of the trajectory of Korean art and shows connections between different artists, ideas, and cultures.
